, ,The National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) is the national membership organization for the nation’s federally qualified health centers (also known as FQHCs or Community Health Centers). Health centers are nonprofit, community-directed health clinics that provide access to high-quality, culturally competent, and comprehensive care to people living in medically underserved areas. The Director of Strategic Partnerships will lead the development and execution of the company's Partner Of Choice strategy, focusing on identifying, brokering, and cultivating long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with key partners across various industries. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of relationship management, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. This leader will supervise at least one staff member.
Description of Primary Responsibilities and Duties
1) Partner of Choice – Strategic Planning and Development
a) Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy identifying key areas of growth and collaboration that are aligned with the company’s goals and mission.
b) Working closely with NACHC’s Office of the President, Chief Operating Officer, and cross-functional leadership, coordinate “Top to Top” meetings with potential partners, including agendas, presentation content, cultivating attendee lists (based on subject-matter expertise needed), coordinating background research/briefings, materials, meeting facilitation, logistics, tracking, follow up item management.
c) Evaluate potential partners and assess alignment with organizational values, mission, strategy and mutual benefits.
2) Relationship Building & Management
a) Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with strategic partners, industry leaders, and key stakeholders primarily focused on promoting resources to health centers through Science, Education, and Practice and Policy (SEPP) framework, including corporations, academia, and other non-profit organizations.
b) Serve as the primary point of contact for partners and ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
c) Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, ensuring clarity on terms, expectations, and deliverables.
3) Partnership Growth & Optimization
a) Monitor the performance of partnerships to ensure they meet established objectives and drive the desired outcomes.
b) Identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships, increase engagement, and unlock additional value.
c) Lead joint initiatives with partners to maximize the impact of collaborations.
4) Project Management / Relationship Management
a) Supervise a Specialist or Manager role(s) to collaborate on related work.
b) Identify and implement a database platform to manage partnership contact engagement, MOUs and other relevant data
c) Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of projects, managing timelines, deliverables, and dependencies.
d) Manage NACHC’s formal partnerships through MOUs and/or other agreements.
e) Collaborate with partners to identify opportunities for mutual engagement and support, aligning their goals with the mission and objectives of the organization.
f) Regularly communicate with partners to provide updates on projects, initiatives, and impact achieved.
5) Reporting and Evaluation
a) Design and implement tracking and reporting on the impact and outcomes of partnerships, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
b) Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
6) Engagement with NACHC’s constituents
a) Support the planning and implementation of NACHC conference education offerings.
b) Support function area at NACHC conferences, constituent-supported meetings, and/or other meetings as needed.
c) Support function area reports/briefings for NACHC’s Board of Directors.
Professional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
Experience:
· Progressively responsible positions in development, fundraising, and/or partnership management; experience working with corporate partners and/or CSR offices.
· Experience developing collateral materials and templates for project management, impact reporting, and storytelling efforts; experience organizing education sessions and panels to share/disseminate related information.
· Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000
