The National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) is the national membership organization for the nation’s federally qualified health centers (also known as FQHCs or Community Health Centers). Health centers are nonprofit, community-directed health clinics that provide access to high-quality, culturally competent, and comprehensive care to people living in medically underserved areas. NACHC strengthens the health center movement through advocacy, training, and technical assistance, clinical and operations support. BASIC FUNCTION

Responsible and accountable for leading the creative concept, design, execution, and delivery of concurrent projects and communications deliverables for NACHC.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

1.       Lead designer for the development and execution of consistent graphic design concepts that result in the output of communications materials that leverage:

·       Cultural competence

·       Plain language

·       The Quintuple Aim

·       Evidence-based clinical practice

·       Dissemination and Implementation Science

·       Data-driven improvement

2.       Assist Marketing Director in serving as a guardian of the NACHC brand to ensure branding and communications guidelines are developed and followed in external communications. 

·       Work with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with the brand style guide.

·       Collaborate with a talented committed team to develop materials that promote the results of project portfolios: fact sheets, year-end reports, how-to guides, infographics, etc.

3.       Contribute to NACHC’s organizational improvement and integration of visual marketing communications efforts through:

a.        The production of brand-aligned corporate and promotional materials for NACHC function areas.

b.       Implementation and oversight of consistent NACHC branding and publishing standards.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, marketing, digital media or a related field
  • Minimum 7-8 years of experience in graphic design or a related field
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Strong portfolio showcasing unique design concepts and creative solutions
  • Experience with website design
  • Experience with social media campaigns
  • Strong knowledge of typography, color theory, and layout design
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow branding guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team
  • Demonstrated experience in designing culturally responsible materials.
  • Understanding of production process: ability to lead design from concept, through production and proper format delivery.
  • Strong project management skills for the production coordination of multiple and simultaneous deliverables. 
  • Ability to distill complex and extensive public health content into visually engaging and informative graphics.
  • Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Fluency with digital animation preferred but not essential. 

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite—Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software as tools for design (Word, Excel—with advanced knowledge of PowerPoint)
  • Ability to prepare/save files for various formats and mediums.
  • Provide creative vision and cohesive branding process for all deliverables.

 

COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS

  • Ability to verbally present ideas and design choices, while being receptive to feedback.
  • Maintain clear and diplomatic communications with members in cross-functional teams and consultants.

Salary Range:

The salary range for this position is $85,810.45 - 107,263
